Saint Mary’s College is one of the few remaining all-women Catholic colleges in the nation—Loretto Trust exists to preserve this legacy by protecting its authentic Catholic identity.
Loretto Trust was founded after a series of high-profile scandals exposed Saint Mary’s imperiled Catholic identity. Our projects are all aimed at engaging alumnae and friends and organizing resources in the fight for her heart and soul
Heading to Reunion this year? We’d love to connect—say hello, catch up, and learn how you can help protect Saint Mary’s Catholic identity and legacy.
Reunion is the perfect time to introduce your classmates to the Loretto Trust and our work to preserve Saint Mary’s Catholic identity and legacy as an all-women’s college. Stop by and learn how, together, we can support the school’s founding mission for future generations.
Thank you for visiting our website. If you’re here, it’s because you love Saint Mary’s College—its Catholic mission, its sisterhood, and its legacy as one of the last all-women Catholic colleges in the nation.
Loretto Trust was born from that same love.
We’re a growing network of alumnae, parents, and faithful friends who are committed to preserving the College’s Catholic identity and its unique mission as an all-women college in a culture that often pushes both aside.
As pressures mount and traditions fade, we believe Saint Mary’s deserves a bold, faithful witness—rooted in truth, united in purpose, and sustained by our Catholic faith and the strength of our shared sisterhood.
Thank you for visiting. We invite you to learn more, stay connected, and join us in protecting what makes Saint Mary’s not just exceptional, but irreplaceable.
Team
In 2024, Saint Mary’s quietly attempted to admit biological males into its all-women undergraduate program. The move sparked strong backlash from alumnae, students, and parents, leading to a temporary reversal—but not a final one.
Determined to protect the College’s Catholic identity and all-women’s mission, alumnae and friends formed Loretto Trust, with guidance from Sycamore Trust. Loretto Trust now serves as a trusted source of information, a united voice, and a vehicle for action to defend what makes Saint Mary’s distinctly Catholic—and distinctly women’s.
